The scene was a town hall meeting this past Tuesday in Annandale, Va.

The Community Organizer was at the campus of the Northern Virginia Community College. President Barack Obama is big on college campus appearances right now. Last week’s disastrous speech promoting Obama’s spending proposals also was delivered on a college campus: George Washington University.

But of course! Campuses (campi?) are just about the only place left where Obama can find an audience that is reasonably certain to stomp, cheer and clap wildly as his Teleprompter leads him on his bizarre journey from one economic absurdity to another. Obama, you see, is now in campaign mode. His handlers have figured out that Obama the president is losing support in virtually every demographic and socioeconomic sector of our adult population, so it’s out with the presidential version and in with the campaign model.

So you dust off Obama the Campaigner and it’s off to the Dunning-Kruger (Google it) strongholds of America, where you can find hordes of people who simply haven’t yet figured out what they haven’t yet figured out. Only immature minds newly separated from their mommy’s embrace can take this man seriously any more.

During this town hall meeting, Obama, as you would expect, engaged in his usual and ever-more nauseating class warfare rhetoric about taxing the rich to balance our budget and reduce our debt. Obama knows that taxing the rich simply won’t do the job. You could take every penny every American makes over $100,000 and add all of the corporate profits from the entire Fortune 500 and not have enough to cover Obama’s deficit for one year. Obama knows it’s an asinine idea. He also knows that the college crowd doesn’t know that. Hence, the Facebook town halls and campus speeches.

I know the Republicans have their problems, but at least Republican hopefuls are speaking to adult audiences who have a clue about the problems we face and can tell solutions from rhetoric.

So let me tell you why I’m once again picking on the man history will surely recognize as America’s most unqualified and simply disastrous president. Here, take this phrase from his Annandale speech:

“I want to live in a society that’s fair!”

Fair! How wonderful! But what does he mean by “fair”? Remember, this is the man who once said that he wanted to raise taxes not because the increases would result in additional revenues, but because it would be “fair.” So, let’s expand Obama’s declaration: “I want to live in a society where the government uses its taxing authority not for revenue, but to take from those who have too much.”

May I offer another word? I know the word is not popular with Obama, but how about “free”? While our ruler is promoting his idea of a utopian “fair” society, I and millions of Americans would like to see some attention paid to concepts of liberty. Patrick Henry didn’t say, “Give me fairness, or give me death!” What’s next? Maybe President Fairness will sign an executive order calling for the National Archives to take an eraser to the Declaration of Independence and change it to read “fairness and social justice for all.” Sorry. I really shouldn’t be giving this man any ideas.

Aristotle said that “the basis of a democratic state is liberty.” Now I know that some of you are still in swooning mode when it comes to our dear ruler, but I’m going to place Aristotle’s wisdom way, way above that of Obama.

If you don’t have liberty, then it follows that “fairness” will be a concept to be adjudicated by people who many not have your best interests at heart.
