Little Aubrey decided to attempt a new hairstyle after asking her grandmother if she could to create a makeup tutorial.
"She asked me to set my tablet up because she likes to video herself," Aubrey's grandma, Debbie Arnold, told ABC News. "She watches lots of makeup tutorials online. She'll do dances, she's videotaped herself being a school teacher, all kinds of imaginative things."
Her mother and grandmother gave Aubrey a small basket of their old makeup to use for playtime. They were in the next room when the 5-year-old had gotten her hands on a pair of scissors with a camera recording.
Debbie says she was a bit shocked when she discovered her granddaughter’s new haircut, but didn’t get angry. She said it was a valuable learning moment for Aubrey.
Debbie said Aubrey is a little embarrassed but will be OK.
The video was posted on Jan. 15 and already has over 10 million views.
