Stevie Fincher wrote on a Facebook post Tuesday that she found a GoPro camera while collecting seashells on Topsail Beach, North Carolina. She writes that when she got home, she tested the camera and found that it had photos from over a year ago. In an attempt to find the owner, she asked for friends to share the post in hopes to reunite the lost camera with its owner.
In subsequent posts she included video that she found on the GoPro, which shows the likely owner playing in the surf.
In a recent post, Fincher claims to have found the owner of the camera. The person in the photo appears to have taken a selfie in a Marine uniform.
Updates to her Facebook page indicate that
with the owner's brother and says that he is deployed at the moment.
TopSail Beach is 40 miles south of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.
