A TV reporter in Colorado has been hospitalized with frostbite on his fingers following his live report on the dangerous cold in the city.

Eric Fink is a reporter at Colorado Springs station KRDO. On Saturday, he was reporting from Falcon, a Colorado Springs suburb. The temperature at the time was in the teens, with a brisk wind of approximately 25 mph, according to a report from Poynter. Fink removed his gloves for about 20 minutes to fix an equipment issue. That's when the frostbite occurred.

His report on the dangerous cold aired when the temperature in Colorado Springs never got above freezing and there was an overnight low of 11-degrees. The howling wind contributed to the danger.

It is not known at this time whether Fink will suffer any long-term effects from the frostbite incident.
