A Florida restaurant employee's "smoke break" got him arrested Thursday, police said.
Christopher Merritt, 20, bumped into a police officer in the bathroom after joking about his "loud weed" with a co-worker, according to police.
Not only was Merritt discussing marijuana, but he was also holding a "marijuana cigar" when he "walked directly into a detective," The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
The detective said that he overheard an employee say to Merritt, "That's some loud weed, huh?" Merritt responded, "Yeah, it is," the police report stated. The employee warned Merritt to be cautious because "there were four cops sitting at the table," the News-Journal reported.
Merritt was arrested and taken to Volusia County Branch Jail.
