An at-home healthcare nurse was arrested on Sunday after police say she took off her uniform and attacked her patient.
According to Florida Today, the altercation happened at 2 p.m. on Sunday when someone at the home called the police and told them the nurse had stripped her clothes off and was "acting erratically." The patient was injured during the incident.
Lt. Greg Latulippe of the Palm Bay Police Department said that when officers arrived, the nurse was completely nude, and they had to work to get her into handcuffs. "The nurse apparently decided to take off her clothes and not act normally. The officers managed to convince her to be handcuffed. She is now in protective custody and was taken in for an evaluation," he said to Florida Today.
Latulippe said charges may be filed.
The extent injuries sustained by the patient are not known and the nurse is undergoing a medical check, acccording to Florida Today.
