George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of second-degree murder in 2013 in the death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, bonded out of a Florida jail Saturday after he was arrested on an aggravated assault charge, according to Orlando's WFTV.

Zimmerman was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Friday after an incident in Lake Mary, according to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility booking record.

Don West, Zimmerman's attorney, told the media that Zimmerman allegedly threw a wine bottle at his girlfriend last week.

Zimmerman wore blue scrubs and handcuffs when he appeared in court Saturday morning. According to WFTV, the judge granted Zimmerman a $5,000 bond and ordered that he surrender all firearms. Zimmerman, who bonded out of jail about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, also is forbidden to have contact with the victim, who was not identified, and is not allowed to consume alcohol.

Since the high-profile Trayvon Martin case, Zimmerman, 31, has been arrested multiple times.

In 2013, he was arrested for a domestic violence dispute with his estranged wife, who did not press charges. That same year, Zimmerman was arrested again on domestic violence charges after an encounter with a girlfriend, who ultimately changed her story and dropped the charges.

Zimmerman's most recent arrest before Friday was in September 2014 on road-rage allegations. The alleged victim in the incident also chose not to press charges.
