Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) was forced to pay up after the Tampa Bay Lightning lost in the NHL final to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Nelson bet fellow Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) Cuban sandwiches and 23 pushups that the Lightning would beat the Blackhawks and win the Stanley Cup.
The Lightning lost the series Monday.
After some post-bet bargaining, 72-year-old Nelson doubled the push-ups in place of the sandwiches.
