An argument turned violent when 91-year-old Max Horton pulled a gun on landscapers for accidentally spraying grass clippings on his car.
Robert Hendrix was allegedly held at gunpoint while on his knees by Horton after the argument escalated. Hendrix's co-worker, Johnny Barnes tried to intervene and Horton reportedly fired a round at Hendrix before turning to face Barnes.
The pair of landscapers were finally able to disarm Horton and held him until authorities arrived.
Police said Horton was transported to Highlands Regional Medical Center. According to First Coast News, Horton reportedly could not be taken to Florida Hospital because of threats he made to hospital staff in 2013.
Horton is being held on an attempted first-degree murder charge.
