A deaf couple was found dead inside a Madisonville home after the inadvertently left their car running in the garage, according to police.
Cincinnati police responded to the incident on Bramble Avenue Thursday afternoon, according to WCPO in Cincinnati.
Officers said the man and woman, both in their 60s, appeared to have been dead for several weeks from fume inhalation, before members of their church noticed their absence.
Authorities told WCPO the victims could not hear the car was still running when they parked it in their garage, exited the vehicle and went upstairs.
The couple’s family thought the two were vacationing in Gatlinburg, Ohio, at the time, police said.
