Dashcam video shows New Jersey house explosion

Fifteen people were injured Tuesday morning when a house exploded in Stafford Township, New Jersey, WPVI-TV reports.
Emergency workers were already on the scene after residents reported smelling natural gas, according to The Associated Press. As officials were evacuating homes in the area, the unoccupied house exploded, sending debris flying.

"It happened so quickly, the explosion, debris all around us coming from nowhere," Fire Chief Jack Johnson told the AP. "It knocked you off your feet, a shock wave, the concussion of it. It's something I never want to experience again."

Of the 15 who were hurt, two were EMTs, six were firefighters, and two were natural-gas workers, according to WPVI. Two of the gas workers were critically injured.

"It was kind of like a mini-earthquake," plowing contractor Max Von Ness told the AP. "You were thinking it was like a bomb."
