A 2-month-old boy received life-saving news Monday morning, and his parents are crediting the power of prayer.
According to WGHP, Declan Alexander was born with hypoplastic heart syndrome. Blood doesn't flow into the left half of his heart.
All his father wanted for Father's Day was to get a heart. Monday he got that wish and by 4 p.m., Declan started a 10-hour surgery at Duke Medical Center.

His parents were not alone in their pleas. A prayer vigil was held Monday evening not only for Declan, but for his parents Chase and April.
The surgery was documented on the Facebook community page, Declan's page.
