You may want to reconsider not paying your cab fare in one Ohio community, you may get a difficult and unusual punishment.
WOIO reported that Victoria Bascom didn't pay her fare for a ride between Cleveland and Painesville.
Instead of just paying what she owed, a judge gave her a choice either serve 60 days in county jail or walk 30 miles within 48 hours starting Friday, according to WOIO.
Why 30 miles? That's the distance the taxi took her.
Bascom reportedly took the walking deal and will log the miles at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
She was also sentenced to four months’ probation and will have to pay the cab company $100 in restitution.
