In a CNN exclusive report, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has declared that he is endorsing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for president.

The endorsement is the highest-ranking Democrat to throw their support behind Clinton.

In the CNN interview, Reid said that he believes that the middle class will be better served by Clinton.

Reid spoke to Sen. Bernie Sanders about his endorsement before the announcement was made public. Reid did not ask Sanders to drop out of the race.
