A Watkinsville teenager was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle wreck in Oconee County, the Georgia State Patrol said.
State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said the wreck happened about 9:40 p.m. when 18-year-old Nathan James Terpin, who was driving a 1996 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, entered a curve on Palomino Pass too fast.
“The vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, then a culvert and overturned,” Wright said.
Watkinsville is about 70 miles east of Atlanta.
