All eight candidates for State Senate from District 6 are expected to participate in a Candidates’ Forum at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9.
Sponsored by the Vinings Village Civic Club, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, the forum will be held at the Cochise Club, 3773 Cochise Drive, Atlanta.
Candidates are Republican Leah Aldridge, Republican Matt Bentley, Republican Kathy Eichenblatt, Republican Charlie Fiveash, Democrat Jaha Howard, Democrat Jen Jordan, Republican Leo Smith and Democrat Taos Wynn.
Each one will have equal time to speak during the 40-minute program followed by questions and answers.
The Nov. 7 election for this office will fill the District 6 seat vacated by Hunter Hill as he seeks the office of governor.
