WESLEY CHAPEL LANDSCAPED MEDIAN TO GET FACELIFT
For years, the Wesley Chapel landscaped medians have suffered from tall grass and weeds due to a lack of funding to adequately address the mowing schedule to properly maintain the landscaped median. Concerned community members will meet next weekend to give the area a facelift by planting and cleaning up the median near the Interstate 20 ramps near Wesley Chapel Road. Donated plants will be low maintenance and all will grow in a naturally round pattern, yielding a more manageable maintenance schedule. All grass will eventually be removed from the site and plants will be installed in a manner that enhances curb appeal and a better quality of life for property owners, residents and visitors alike while improving the perception of the area. The design will improve safety by decreasing dangerous cut through areas that some pedestrian use to cross Wesley Chapel Road outside of crosswalks.
