Request for pet daycare in Henry County denied
A zoning board denial regarded a pet daycare was upheld in Henry County.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners upheld a Zoning Advisory Board recommendation to deny a conditional use request for a pet daycare/non-commercial kennel.
The commissioners’ vote took place at their July 17 regular meeting. The applicant made the request for three acres of property at 140 Hickory Lake Trail in Stockbridge, and although county staff had recommended approval with a list of conditions, the ZAB voted down a motion to approve and then passed a motion to deny the petition.
All applicants whose requests are denied by the ZAB have the right to appeal to the Board of Commissioners.
