The Norcross City Council voted recently to retain the services of B+C Studio of Atlanta to develop construction documents for the green space property located in Pinnacle Center business park, 250 Pinnacle Way, off Brookhollow Parkway in Norcross.
Norcross purchased the green space in the Pinnacle Center business park with the idea to convert the property to a combination storm water retention facility and public park. Plans include a redevelopment of the area with new trails, a picnic pavilion, playground, lighting and signage. Amenities will include a ropes course, nature trail, fitness stations, tree house, canoe and kayak launch and new bathrooms.
The City Council approved a project cost of $1,834,908 with an additional $66,405 for optional green infrastructure upgrades that include solar power for the pavilion and lighting, recycle containers and an electric car charging station. The city will fund the project using 2017 SPLOST revenue.
