“New” Congressman to meet in DeKalb

U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a Democrat who has represented the Atlanta area since 1987, will introduce himself to his new constituents in DeKalb County at a town hall on June 14.

Recent redistricting efforts have shifted Lewis’ congressional district further into DeKalb, prompting the meeting.

The session begins at 7 p.m. June 14 at the Sanford Performing Arts Center on Rainbow Drive near Decatur. County Commissioner Larry Johnson, who is sponsoring the town all, also will attend.
