Upcoming intersection improvements along Ga. Hwy. 74 between Peachtree City and Fairburn will be discussed at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 at City Hall in Peachtree City.

The City Council meeting will feature a presentation by the Highway 74 North Gateway Coalition regarding measures to improve traffic flow along the heavily traveled corridor just south of I-85. A major part of the plan will be the installation of “R-Cuts,” which reconfigure intersections where smaller roads meet divided highways by channeling traffic along dedicated right-turn and U-turn lanes. R-Cuts are planned at Kedron Drive South and at Lexington Pass/Senoia Road; other configurations may be used elsewhere.
