Johns Creek invites residents to two public input meetings in June on sound abatement options along a one-mile stretch of Abbotts Bridge Road.

The meetings are scheduled to start at 7 p.m., June 14 and 20, at the Municipal Court/Johns Creek Police Department headquarters, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway. The hearing concerns Abbotts Bridge between Jones Bridge and Parsons roads. Renderings of abatement options will be on display.

Plans call for widening Abbotts Bridge, Ga. 120, and adding a center turn lane, landscaped medians and 10-foot-wide pedestrian trails on each side of the road. It is part of a long-range effort to upgrade Ga. 120 from the Alpharetta city limits, through Johns Creek, to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett County.
