Henry County leaders are asking health officials to bring more coronavirus testing sites to the south metro community.
With more than 540 confirmed cases of coronavirus, the Henry County Commission says it needs more than the one site it has in McDonough at the Heritage Senior Center.
It passed a resolution earlier this week calling on the District 4 Department of Public Health to open additional COVID-19 testing sites throughout the community.
Henry, they argue, has more confirmed cases of COVID-19 than any other county within the District 4 Public Health region.
The next closest District 4 site is more than 50 miles away in Coweta County, Henry leaders said.
