Henry County Animal Control is working to find homes for all of its dogs and puppies within the next 30 days, before much-needed renovations begin on its facility in McDonough. Work is scheduled to begin May 1 on repairs to the walls of the dog and puppy rooms to make them disease-proof. The kennels will have to be empty for approximately 30 days for the work to be completed. Services will be curtailed in May and the facility will only be taking in emergency cases. Full service is expected to resume by the end of May.
