As Grayson has grown, and the Grayson Park has become more and more popular, city leaders have been evaluating ways to improve safety and add value. As a result, the Grayson City Council voted Sept. 21 to close Park Drive beginning Oct. 1 to all through traffic. Council members feel the closure will help keep children in the park safer.
The council also approved paving and storm water management options to provide additional parking on the north side of City Hall. The project remains in the design phase, with plans for the project to get underway early next year.
