While Republicans are strongly opposed to the nation’s health care law, they are now divided on the best way to fight it. Some conservatives say governors and state legislators should refuse to implement any portion of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Other opponents, including Gov. Nathan Deal, think it makes more sense to fight the law in court but also plan for its implementation in case the legal challenge fails. With members of the Tea Party movement involved, it’s become an intense battle in Georgia and in other states.
