The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins in two different areas of the county.

A sheriff’s spokesman said during the overnight hours of Oct. 4-5 a number of vehicles were broken into near Lakeheath Drive and Vaughan Drive in South Forsyth. Credit cards taken in one break-in were used at a Quiktrip nearby.

The same night saw a number of vehicles entered on Brookwood Drive in South Forsyth, with a 2008 Nissan Altima stolen from a home in the same area. The Ultima was spotted at the Quik-Trip where the stolen cards were used. A rash of break-ins also happened in North Forsyth targeting the Bridlewood subdivision near Gravitt Road and Matt Highway. Officials are not releasing how many vehicles were entered.

Sheriff’s officials are asking that anyone else in those neighborhoods who experience a break-in to make a report promptly.
