Forsyth approves park improvements

March 23, 2015The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners late last week approved plans for upgrades at two county park facilities.
The board moved ahead on a request by the Midway Athletic Club under which the county will buy new scoreboards for Midway Park to the tune of $40,000. For its part, the club will contribute $16,600 for several improvements, including a concrete walking path to the new parking area and concrete work around baseball backstops.
The commission also approved a $19,000 deal with the Foresite Group, Inc. for engineering and design services for the renovation of 14 group campground sites at the Shady Grove campground.
