State Representative Karla Drenner, D-Avondale Estates, is holding a town hall meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Avondale Estates City Hall, 21 North Avondale Plaza, where she hopes to get resident feedback on annexation.
Drenner said she’ll discuss several pending bills in the legislature. She’ll also likely discuss the recent posting of three legal notices for proposed cities of LaVista Hills, Tucker and Stonecrest, and the effect on Avondale. But she’ll also take questions and feedback from the audience.
“I have to get a better feeling on where people stand,” said Drenner, who submitted an Avondale annexation bill last March without knowing the city failed to hold any public sessions on the issue. “I get a lot of emails, but they go back and forth, and I don’t really know whether [the city] is for or against.”
