DeKalb holds meeting Wednesday on proposed penny tax

Sept 23, 2011DeKalb County residents can give their input on the proposed penny sales tax for regional transportation plan at a meeting Wednesday night in Decatur.
A final list of projects is due on Oct. 15. Among projects county leaders have cited as important is the 5.4-mile rail line to link the Indian Creek MARTA station to Wesley Chapel Road, known as the I-20 project.
The meeting runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Manuel Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur.
