Decatur Mayor Jim Baskett gives his State of the City address 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Marriott Courtyard Hotel/Decatur Conference Center, 130 Clairemont Ave.
Baskett will speak about 15 minutes, reviewing the past year while devoting the last part of the talk to annexation, though he said Sunday he’s still uncertain what he’ll say regarding the issue.
New School Board Chair Garrett Goebel will also speak on City Schools Decatur’s immediate building projects, budget— including the need for bond referendum next November — and enrollment growth.
