City moving forward on Stratford Green annexation

Avondale Estates’ Planning and Zoning Board has a public hearing on the proposed annexation of Stratford Green 6 p.m. Monday, Avondale Estates City Hall, 21 N. Avondale Plaza. There are additional Stratford Green public hearings Wednesday (5:30 p.m.) and Nov. 17 (7:30 p.m.), both at city hall. Avondale’s commission ultimately votes on whether to annex the neighborhood Dec. 15, and if approved 154 townhomes and roughly 400 residents would enter the city Dec. 31.
