DeKalb schools superintendent Steve Green is among elite Georgia educators, and elite educators do not come cheaply.

They are in high demand and get paid salaries in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, plus other perks. For instance, among Green’s benefits are $2,600 a month in expenses, $750 a month in transportation expenses and $24,000 a year contributed toward his retirement plan.
