Ryan Wolpert, 16, of Cobb County’s Pebblebrook High School’s performing arts program, won a $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award for his singing and musical talent.

He can use the money to study music while preparing to continue his studies in college. He plans to put the scholarship towards voice lessons and tuition for a 2016 summer program.

Katie Woolf, Director of Vocal & Choral Music at the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School, nominated Wolpert. The CCCEPA Chamber Chorus, was selected to perform in “From the Top,” the hit NPR and PBS program. The Chorus’ performance will be broadcast on Atlanta’s public radio, WABE, on Monday, November 9, 2015.”
