Cobb County schools’ chief of staff has announced her retirement from the school system.

After a 32-year career in education, Angela Huff has decided to "make a change that would give her more flexibility and time to care for aging family members," according to the Cobb school district. Her retirement is effective May 31.

In her 24 years with Cobb, Huff has held numerous positions. Prior to becoming chief of staff four years ago, she was an assistant superintendent, assistant principal, and a principal at Brumby Elementary, Due West Elementary and Mountain View Elementary.
