The Atlanta School board Monday rejected three charter school applications: NEXUS Academy of Atlanta, Georgia Family Academy Charter School, and Greater Change Performing Arts Academy. The schools’ applications were deficient for reasons including lack of education, facility, and financial plans; leadership capacity, and community support. Two other applications were returned without consideration because they were incomplete. The board is still considering applications from Hinds Feet Montessori School of the Arts, and Atlanta Classical Academy. The board will address those proposals at its July 1 meeting.
