President Donald Trump shouldn't expect much help from DeKalb County in his proposed crackdown on illegal immigration.

Trump is seeking to bolster federal immigration efforts with help from local law enforcement.

But DeKalb Sheriff Jeff Mann said his office will no longer detain inmates for immigration authorities "without a warrant or other sufficient probable cause." Mann worries such efforts are unconstitutional.

DeKalb County was one of 100 local law enforcement agencies blasted in a recent federal report for limiting cooperation with federal deportation officers.

Trump wants to revive the 287 (g) program – which was watered down by the Obama Administration - in order to give local law enforcement a larger role in immigration enforcement.
