A Dunwoody pain doctor was arrested Wednesday on allegations of running a pill mill.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested Dr. Nisar Piracha, a nurse and two patients at his medical practice.

The DEA believes his medical office at 11 Dunwoody Park was operating as a pill mill, Channel 2 Action News reported. The agency would not talk about the specifics of the investigation.

“Who would come from Kentucky or Ohio to be administered medications when you could go right around the corner in your state?” DEA spokesman Chuvallo Truesdell told Channel 2.

According to his website, Piracha has been a practicing general surgeon for more than 30 years.
