T.I.’s wife reports $750K worth of jewelry stolen from her Lamborghini

T.I.’s wife reports $750K worth of jewelry stolen from her Lamborghini

When Atlanta rapper and activist T.I. penned the lyrics “you can have whatever you like,” he more than likely was not talking about his wife’s wedding ring.

However, that didn’t stop someone from helping themselves to the more than $750,000 worth of jewelry — wedding rings included — that was left inside Tameka “Tiny” Harris’ SUV over the weekend, according to Atlanta police.

Harris, T.I.’s wife and an R&B singer and reality TV star in her own right, told police her Lamborghini SUV was parked near Bar Amalfi on Sunday evening.

When she returned to the vehicle, the jewelry was gone.

Her wedding rings, watches and stud earrings were among the jewelry she said she left inside a blue velour bag on top of the center console of her SUV, police said.

She told officers she parked the SUV, which has an estimated value of roughly $200,000, about 8:45 p.m. while she was having drinks with a friend. She said she returned about an hour later, Atlanta police investigator James White said. She did not report the theft until 11:23 p.m.

“There were no signs of forced entry or damage observed to the vehicle,” White said in a statement.

Her friend returned to the vehicle once during the evening, but told officers she had “no knowledge” of the jewelry inside, police said.

Harris was at the restaurant for a party Sunday evening and her SUV was one of several luxury cars parked outside the dining establishment, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Security officials stationed in the restaurant parking lot said they did not witness anything suspicious, the news station reported.

The theft remains under investigation.

Bar Amalfi, a chic Italian eatery known for its high-end clientele, is located across the street from the building that is the new home of Patchwerk Recording Studios.

Before it was relocated to the Hemphill Avenue location where three men were ambushed after a recording session in 2018, Patchwerk welcomed artists ranging from Outkast to T.I. to Charlie Wilson to Ludacris.

Harris has been married to T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, for nine years. She was a member of the multiplatinum 90s R&B group Xscape and won a Grammy for her writing contribution on the TLC hit "No Scrubs."

Harris is not the only celebrity to fall victim to car thefts in the Atlanta area in recent months.

In March, nearly $500,000 was stolen from rapper Young Dolph's car outside of a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Fairburn. In September, a friend of "Love and Hip Hop" star Alexis Skyy had her Maserati stolen at an Atlanta gas station while the two women were putting air in Skyy's tires.
