Couple in deadly Fayette fire identified
Two people were killed in a morning fire in Fayette County Friday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
The couple, Robert and Tommie Ison, were found dead inside the house, which was 75 percent engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 8 a.m., Channel 2 reports. It took about an hour to get the fire under control and allow firefighter to enter the home.
The house was located at 909 Grant Road near the town of Brooks in southern Fayette county.
The couple’s daughter told police the house was on fire when she returned from taking her children to school.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
