Mountain View Personal Care Home, DeKalb’s historic residence for seniors, is seeking donations for a linen shower Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Founded in 1882, the facility at 3675 Kensington Rd. outside Decatur is home to 32 seniors and needs new twin sheet sets, pillow cases, blankets and throws, mattress pads, comforters, along with bath towels and wash cloths. New, not used, items can be delivered in person at the shower or Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tours and food will be offered at the shower, along with descriptions of volunteer opportunities from Mountain View’s board of directors and staff.
