Registration fees are $20 and $25 through Sept. 7 for the Cobb County 5K, an AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
For 15 years, Cobb County Government has partnered with Make-A-Wish Georgia to help grant the wishes of ill children.
Day-of-race registration begins at 7 a.m. with the races starting at 8 a.m. on Oct. 3, beginning and ending at the Marietta Square.
Through Sept. 7, registration fees are $20 for the untimed 5K walk/run and $25 for the timed 5K run.
Mail-in forms must be postmarked by Sept. 7 and sent to Cobb County 5K, 100 Cherokee St., Suite 300, Marietta, GA 30090.
After Sept. 7, fees are $25 for the untimed 5K walk/run and $35 for the timed 5K run.
Teams of 10 or more are $15 per person untimed and $20 timed.
Children 6 to 12 years old are $10 and those 5 and younger are free.
Anyone who would like to support Make-A-Wish Georgia but will not be able to attend the race may register as a Phantom Runner for $20.
Each registered participant will receive a commemorative long-sleeve T-shirt.
All money raised will be used to help grant the wishes of Cobb children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Last year's race raised $28,000.
