A former state official has pleaded guilty to lying about her college degrees and work experience, drawing a sentence of 30 months probation. Donna Alexander, former human resources director at the Georgia Department of Public Health, pleaded guilty in Fulton County Superior Court to seven counts of False Statement and Writings. She was sentenced under the state’s First Offender Act, despite opposition from the Attorney General’s Office.
