A Lithia Springs High School student was arrested Wednesday after he was found to have a gun in school, authorities said.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested the student after someone anonymously tipped off the school’s resource officer, according to department spokesman Lt. Glenn Daniel.
The handgun and ammunition were recovered around noon.
The student will be booked into the Douglas County jail after he is interviewed by deputies, Daniel said.
