Duluth’s paving contractor, Major League Milling, has begun working on the final streets to be paved in 2021 as part of the city’s Local Maintenance Improvement Grant project.
Depending on the weather, work is expected to be completed before Thanksgiving. If not, work will stop Tuesday, Nov. 23 and resume Monday, Nov. 29.
Streets to be repaved during this project include Abbotts Oak Way, Abbotts Pointe Drive, Abbotts Pointe Court, Berkeley Park Drive, Berkeley Park Court, Brookhurst Court, Lake Villas Court, Lake Villas Lane, Villa Brooke Court, and Meeting Street. Work is expected to begin in Abbotts Pointe, then move to Woodehaven, and finally on to the remaining neighborhoods. Each neighborhood will be alerted about the upcoming work. All vehicles must be removed from the street prior to paving.
Drivers can expect delays and are reminded to be patient and drive slowly through the work zones.
