The Siemens Foundation said Sept. 30 is the deadline for high school entries in its 2013 Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology.

The foundation will award scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 for original research in team and individual categories.

The entries will be judged at Georgia Tech and five other research universities: California Institute of Technology; Carnegie Mellon University; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; The University of Texas at Austin; and University of Notre Dame.

Winners of the regional competitions will present their research at the National Finals in December at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
