Equifax acquires British firm

March 3, 2011

Credit agency Equifax said Thursday it has acquired a London financial data company for an undisclosed sum.

Workload Financial Business Consultants will fold into Atlanta-based Equifax’s wealth intelligence business. The British firm operates data exchanges on investment products for more than 90 British financial services companies.

Equifax said the Workload deal will expand the company’s market intelligence abilities, and follows its 2009 acquisition of U.S. wealth data company IXI.
