Lanier Islands Resort continues recruiting seasonal workers this month. The Georgia Department of Labor will assist Lanier Islands Resort in hiring for spring and summer jobs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford.
Georgia Department of Labor staff will be on site to help screen the applicants. The company is recruiting seasonal admissions clerks, bartenders, concession stand operators, front desk personnel, lifeguards, pool attendants, security guards, servers and retail associates among others.
While most jobs require applicants to be at least 16 years old, some positions call for job seekers to be at least 18. All applicants should bring a resume, military identification card, driver's license and dress appropriately to improve their chances of landing a summer job.
Salaries will depend on the position and will be discussed with the applicant during the interview.
Workers seeking summer jobs are encouraged to visit Employ Georgia to create an account and upload or create a resume. Having an Employ Georgia account and resume expedites the interview process. Once an account has been created, prospective job seekers may create or upload up to five résumés, then view automatic job matches to each résumé, search for job postings, save searches, receive email alerts matching saved searches and research careers, employers and training.
Additional résumé and interview assistance is available through the Georgia Department of Labor career centers where you can find out about career opportunities, Employ Georgia and other GDOL services for job seekers and employers.
