Job opportunities are available in Cobb, Douglas and Fulton counties — among them Cobb County poll workers, WellStar nurses and Marietta police officers.

Cobb County poll workers

The Cobb County Board of Elections is looking for people to work in voting precincts this year. A poll worker must be a U.S. citizen, a Cobb County resident, at least 16 years old, be able to read, write and speak English and not have any felony convictions in the past 10 years. Poll workers also must attend at least one mandatory training class before working at the poll. New workers are paid $110 for Election Day, $20 to $30 for each training class and $15 for helping to set up the poll. Workers must arrive at 6 a.m. on an Election Day and stay until all voters leave and closing procedures are completed. Election dates include May 24 and Nov. 8 with possible runoff dates of July 26 and Dec. 6. Cobb P.A.R.K. seasonal workers for operations unit

The position will pay $7.25 an hour and work a 40-hour work week. Nights and weekends will be required at times.
