Major accident on I-285 in Clayton County cleared up

An I-285 traffic accident that was causing major delays in Clayton County has been cleared up, according to Clayton County police.

Earlier Wednesday, most westbound lanes of I-285 were closed due to a major accident involving a tractor-trailer and a box truck.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation , four out of five right lanes are blocked, causing heavy congestion from Jonesboro Road to Riverdale Road and delays of about two hours.
